We arrived at 6:00 PM, just before the 6:30 PM opening, and were the first ones there. We realized we could have made a reservation as we watched others get seated ahead of us. Fortunately, we snagged the last table before it filled up; otherwise, we would have faced an hour-long wait. Our meal started with the BBQ pork bao, which was delicious. The dumplings were just okay. We then tried the ramen, which we felt Itadaki does better. Finally, we had the KFC chicken, which was good, but by then we were too full to eat more than a few pieces. I appreciated that the restaurant offered dishes from various Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. It’s a great spot if you want a variety, but the extensive menu seemed to lack a focus on perfecting any single dish. Overall, we were satisfied, but next time we’ll skip the dumplings and make a reservation in advance.

Good baos and dim sum. Place is crowded and popular: Orders take awhile to arrive

One of the very few genuinely good, authentic restaurants in Medellín. The owners are always around, and it shows. Yes, getting a table can be a bit chaotic—but in a funny way that actually adds to the experience. Yes, sometimes a menu item is agotado, but that just means you know they keep all their food fresh. It’s not expensive when you consider what they offer. Good luck to the owners—they’ve raised the bar in Medellín.

Amazing food, perfect service. We had a really good dinner here, the best food and service we’ve had in months. Thank you so much for everything!

The place is small and cozy, but it definitely doesn't take anything from the experience. It tends to be always full, so if you go during rush hours, be prepared to wait outside for a while (make sure to announce yourself at the counter so they can assign you a turn) The service is not the best, but also not the worst, which is kind of understandable due to the amount of people waiting for service. The food is absolutely amazing. The entrées in particular were delicious. The only thing that I think was not that good were the noodles, but everything else was perfect. And finally, the prices are not cheap, but again, with the exception of the noodles, they are completely worthy.

One of the best asian restaurant in Medellin! Food is top. I had one the dumplings and a main of chicken.

They have some great food and drinks here, but in terms of overall experience it falls behind. The namesake ‘bao’ are great and I imagine the best you can find in Medellin. The iced teas are fantastic too. The soups are good but not massively flavourful. The mad amount of people camped outside and the small amount of tables makes the waiting experience not great and the restaurant is a bit too cosy. This is one of the best Asian restaurants in the city but for the price there are lots of better restaurants as Asian food is difficult to replicate to perfection here. Perhaps it was over hyped but whilst we had a good time it was as an overall restaurant experience, not quite there.

We were given this suggestion by a local friend to try their KFC Bao and wow it was so good. The buns were soft and tender and the chicken was crispy but tender, it was delicious. Definitely worth a go.
